On February 12, 2025, Tatsuya Shiono, CEO of ABCD Inc., appeared on "VISIONING VOICE," a program that showcases the challenges of startup companies.

About the Program

"VISIONING VOICE" is a program that connects startups expanding domestically and internationally with supporters and fans as they aim to reach the next stage. The program was hosted by Mr. Uruno from the NEXs Tokyo community staff and Mr. Takashi Ueda, who has covered startups for many years at Nikkei Newspaper.

Program Content

During the program, Mr. Shiono introduced our company's business areas: "Support for Japanese companies expanding overseas" and "amari (overseas sales of excess inventory)." He discussed the background of the company's founding and future prospects through three "Kakushin" (Core, Innovation, Conviction) perspectives.

Core: Background of Founding

Mr. Shiono shared his experience supporting business growth from an HR perspective as a recruitment consultant for deep tech companies at Recruit Co., Ltd. He also talked about founding a SaaS-specialized agency management company with his own capital in 2020, building an organization of over 100 people in three years. In February 2023, he established our company with the mission of "Restoring Japan as a manufacturing powerhouse."

He also revealed that the company name "ABCD" was inspired by British entrepreneur Richard Branson's "ABCD (Always Be Connecting Dots)" strategy.

Innovation: What We Aim to Transform

Mr. Shiono expressed his goal to "structurally change the framework for Japanese products expanding overseas." He proposed a new approach to support Japanese products entering global markets by designing schemes based on market-in perspectives rather than the traditional product-centric approach.

Conviction: The Future We Want

With the vision of "Creating a future where Japanese companies thrive again!", we aim to lead a world where overseas business expansion becomes the norm for Japanese companies. On a personal level, Mr. Shiono also shared his desire to make the phrase "I can't do it because I've never done it before" obsolete.
